John T. Essberger - Dry Cargo, the tramp division of the group, is a shipowner in its own right and is actively working as a commercial Ship Manager for third party clients. JTE-Dry Cargo is committed to providing services to their clients to cover the entire shipping spectrum including sale and purchase and joint ventures.

Chartering

JTE-Dry Cargo is handling the complete charter requirements of the existing managed and owned fleet along with those of their affiliated DAL Deutsche Afrika-Linien. JTE-Dry Cargo offers an experienced team attending to exclusive clients by dealing with all aspects of chartering, operating, bunkering, supervising, accounting and execution of freight contracts. We offer reliability and flexibility to our customers and employ our ships on short- or long-term contracts, voyage, time and/or bareboat charter basis. To ensure maximum utilization of both our own vessels and those managed by us we arrange freight contracts, voyage and time charter all over the world.

Joint Ventures

JTE-Dry Cargo operates joint ventures by combining its shipping know-how with the cargo potential of established charterers and shippers. This effective combination enables us to develop tailor-made concepts thus providing a sound basis for optimised results that benefit both partners.

Sale and Purchase

JTE-Dry Cargo is responsible for the sale and purchase requirements of a number of reputable shipowners. This negotiating and administrative experience is equally available to other parties.
